The same online testing system teachers used to administer Smarter Balanced and Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) Interim and Summative Assessments has been upgraded to allow teachers to schedule test sessions in advance for both in-person and remote student testers. This also includes the ability for teachers who are off site and not in the classroom to administer tests remotely. This guide explains these schedule options.

The information in this presentation is for the students and families who will be taking interim assessments remotely. This module will walk students and families through how students take Connecticut’s interim assessments in English Language Arts, Mathematics and Science when students are not in the classroom. 

Teachers are encouraged to take the Remote Testing Training Course before they administer a remote test to students. 
This document provides considerations for students who may need the provision of external materials to access the optional Interim Assessments remotely during distance learning. There are three categories of supports available during testing: universal tools, designated supports, and accommodations.
